hab·i·tat (hăb′ĭ-tăt′)
n.
The natural environment in which a species or group of species lives:
“Habitat for wildlife is continually shrinking – I can at least provide a way station.” – Peter Coyote
“Without habitat, there is no wildlife. It’s that simple.” » Wildlife Habitat Canada
It’s a mystery who lives in these woodland places. I often see rabbit tracks and other tiny tracks which I could assume are squirrels or maybe mice? The tree might shelter an owl or, more than likely, a woodpecker or two. I really enjoy it when I see signs of life near these hideaways 🙂
Until next time
