This week we are talking about the weather. A popular topic to be sure. One that we all tend to fall back on when conversation lags.
This time of year some of us are getting weary of winter. This year, on the East of Nova Scotia, Canada, we have had an unusual season. Lots of fluctuations in temperature and percipatation. Storms, icy roads, heavy winds, weather closures, and more.
We are ready for a change to less stressful days.
Our poem this week speaks to the way that weather can change our moods, for better or worse. Spirits lifted by sunshine and warmth or deadened on dark days.
“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather”
John Ruskin
Each one of us have our own way of dealing with the seasons. This poem is just one of those views. Perhaps you will relate.
